BYD Sealion 7 vs Tesla Model Y vs XPENG G6 Singapore

Compare local EV variants without mixing COE categories, range cycles or charging claims. Source-led checklist for Sealion 7, Model Y and G6 buyers.

Updated · Editorial method & corrections

Start with the exact Singapore variant

These model families are common comparison candidates, but a fair comparison needs named variants and matching data. This is a source-based buying guide reviewed on 15 October 2026, not a hands-on road test, live price list or claim that one car is best.

What the manufacturer pages currently establish

BYD Sealion 7Dynamic 100kW: Category A; 405km WLTP range. The page labels the figure WLTP; obtain the specification sheet and verify the exact test cycle before comparing it with another brand’s city figure.
XPENG G6G6 Pro RWD Long Range: Category B, 218kW and 80.8kWh; 685km is labelled WLTP city. This Category B example is not a like-for-like Cat A opponent. City range must not be treated as combined range.

Compare the ownership experience, not only peak numbers

  • Quote the same registration period and COE arrangement, and state whether rebates and fees are already included.
  • Compare battery capacity on the same usable or total basis.
  • Request DC charging time over the same battery-percentage window, with test conditions.
  • Ask for the onboard AC limit if most charging will happen during long parking stops.
  • Check seat comfort, ride, visibility, boot access and the charging-port position yourself.
  • Confirm app support, warranty transfer and local service arrangements in writing.

A slower headline charge can still fit your week

If you normally park for several hours, the useful question may be how much energy you can add during that visit. If you need short stops between work trips, compare the actual session window and site access. Neither a range headline nor a fast-charge peak establishes the best car for every driver.

Complete your shortlist with Cat A variant checks, public-only ownership planning and the full buyer checklist.
