Identify the charging operators at your regular parking locations before collecting your EV. Check their current account, payment and app instructions on the official website. You may need more than one account if your daily and backup locations use different networks.

- Confirm public access, operating hours, parking rules and the exact connector.
- Check the price for that charger, including idle fees or session conditions.
- Complete any required registration and payment setup.
- Follow the instructions on the charger and in its operator interface.
- Confirm that the session has started and monitor its progress.
- End the session correctly, unplug as instructed and keep the receipt.
Location or availability information can change while you travel. Maintain an alternative and avoid planning a journey around a single point with no backup.
Compare price, time and convenience
A quick DC top-up and an AC session during a long stay serve different needs. Use the charger and car limits to estimate a practical session, and include parking and any idle fee in your cost comparison. Provider websites and apps are the place to check their latest instructions and terms.
